Our Purpose

Our Purpose:

(1) Promoting the awareness of how human factors/ergonomics issues are related to many disciplines and careers.

(2) Exposing students to an interdisciplinary approach to the design, evaluation, operation, and maintenance of products and systems.

(3) Providing a forum for the presentation, discussion, and investigation, of human factors and ergonomics issues.

(4) Providing students with the opportunity to enhance professional development, community service, and networking with other students, faculty, and professionals interested in human factors and ergonomics issues.

    Hello HFES CSULB,
    I got to your site from the HFES web site – impressive, I like what you've done with it so far, especially the social media aspect (love to see what it will look like when it's fininsehd). Nonetheless, it's a long ways from the first chapter site, back in 2001.

    I'm looking forward to the Regional Conference in February (planning ahead :-) . I missed the '09 conference – blame Tom, he called me last minute..<lol>.

    Looks like the chapter has taken off nicely…Awesome to see.
